My #son has left for Alaska

I am so full of joy and sorrow at the same time, that I don't know how to feel today. My #son #left on Labor Day, to pursue his new career, and is heading for Alaska. I am so #heartbroken. He and I have been through so much together and now a part of me has been taken away. The days of hopping in a car and going to visit are over. I can't hug him and that makes me overwhelmingly sad. I am charting his journey and praying for him each step of the way. I love you and miss you, Joe.
I wish my #father was here to tell him how proud I am of my #son. My father was the strength of our family and I miss his wisdom everyday. Why does life throw so many blows at once? At least let us breath a little, would you.
